Hello! Another great week here. A lot has happened so I will try and remember everything.
So this last week was the last week of the transfer which means we were with President Brown for the first few days of the week working with the transfers. It's always such an amazing process to be there with President. As we discuss where certain missionaries could go it is very uplifting to get little spiritual confirmations that confirm the changes. Transfer process week also means spending a lot of time eating Sister Brown's food haha so that's always good ;)
As for me I will be staying for my 5th transfer here in Ecully! I am excited to stay and continue to work with and serve the people here! But, there is also a slight change in our companionship! Elder Menzel and I will be staying together and we will be receiving Elder Underwood! So we will be a trio! President wanted to have 3 Assistants so that when we have conferences across the mission, 1 or 2 of the Assistants can still stay in our sector in Ecully and work! President told us that I will always be in our area working! I am so excited about that and to really work Ecully. Over the past 4 transfers and especially the last 2 we have been so busy with so many different things and conferences which has slowed the progress of our actual work in the sector. But, there have been some recent changes coming from the Quorum of the 12 that will enable the Assistants to stay in their sector and work it instead of being out on exchanges and conferences! I'm kind of babbling on right now, but it's because I am so excited to start really working here!
I am really excited to add Elder Underwood to the équipe! He is a huge stud from Hillcrest High School and it will be so good to learn from him. I am also excited to be staying with Elder a Menzel for a 3rd transfer!
In terms of this week we had the transfers that we worked on for a few days and then we had a few meetings to prepare for this upcoming transfer. We also saw a few cool things and we have multiple lessons this next week with people we met last week! So I will keep you posted with these people!
Haha so on Saturday afternoon we had a few teaching appointments and so we did an exchange with a few missionaries to cover our lessons. I was with Elder Underwood and we invited President and Sister Brown to this lesson with us! Unfortunately the lesson fell through about 5 minutes before, but President took us out contacting! It was really fun to go out contacting with him and we all had such a good time! There was a video that was released a few weeks ago talking about how we should increase the amount of contacts with mid-teens mid-twenties because there is a lot of success among them! We actually saw some great success! Haha there was a funny moment when President Brown and I were having a conversation with someone and they pointed at me and asked President Brown, "So is this your son?" Haha and we both looked at each other and laughed and President was like, "Yes and no!!" And then we started laughing super hard. Anyways, it was a good experience :)
Also...The Paris Temple!!! We recently had a meeting about the Paris Temple and i got very emotional thinking about how I've spent the last 21 months talking to everybody I could about it! And it will be dedicated on May 22 and i am so excited. We recently got a mass quantity of "Temples and Families" brochures which helps people realize the blessings of the temple. Anyways, it has been so amazing lately to see how the Lord has been pouring his spirit out upon this country in anticipation of His house. Seriously I am so excited for this country to have their first temple here in a few months.
This past week Elder Menzel, Elder Underwood, and I had a discussion about our Savior, Jesus Christ. I would like to say that I know that He lives. I have never seen him, but I don't need to see to know.
