Another great week here! The weeks are just getting better and better. This week was solid as we were able to get some good work done. Here are some of the main things that I remember!
On Wednesday night we had the opportunity I watch the world wide mission broadcast with the Missionary Council including Elder Oaks, Elder Bednar and Elder Nelson! It was mainly focused on how to "Teach Repentance and Baptize Converts." I loved the whole broadcast and learned so much but the common theme for me was, "Be the message." I think it was Elder Bednar who said "You can't teach repentance if you don't prentice repentance." That really hit me and I have especially been working on being the message.
This week we also held our Missionary Leadership Council here in Lyon and it went well! There was so much to present on because of the new missionary changes and everything and so we had a lot of presenting to do! I love the changes and they give us more time to work and be effective so it has been great. MLC is one of my favorite days of the transfer as I get to see all my past companions and friends!
I had the opportunity to go on 2 exchanges this week with the Nice and Ecully ZLs! I love exchanges and being with other missionaries and learning from them. On Thursday following MLC I was with Elder Wiberg from Nice! He is such a good guy and we had an amazing time together and had a lot of succès out on the road speaking to people. Also we are able to take metros again and that has been so fun. I love contacting and talking to people and I especially love doing it on metros because everything happens so fast and you can speak to a lot of people. But anyways, I learned a lot from Elder Wiberg as he is such a humble leader. My second échange was with Elder MacArthur! He is from Oregon and we've served in the same ward for the last 4 transfers and have become very good friends. He is also an incredible missionary. I love all the missionaries here.
Also last P day guess what we did!? We went out shopping with Sister Brown haha! It was so fun. She is such an amazing woman and I am beyond grateful for the time I have had to be around her beautiful spirit! She has changed my life in so many ways and I love her so much! But it was fun to go out shopping with her and she was such a blast to be with. We went out to breakfast and lunch with her and just had such a great time! She has become such a role model and influence in my life. It's cool because she doesn't speak French but everywhere she goes everyone LOVES her. I could go on and on about how much I love Sister Brown, and I would love to, but I don't have enough time!
So I had a really cool experience that I would like to share. So it was Friday night and the metros were just packed. And I got onto one of the metros and I looked across at all of the people that were all over the place and all of the sudden it was like time slowed down and I just had this overwhelming feeling of love for everyone on the metro. I was really grateful for that experience and felt like sharing it!
Well this upcoming week will be good as we've got a few exchanges and will have some good work. Have a great week! :)
