Week 26 "Beyond happy."

*I asked Elder Wade how happy he was and he said;
"Beyond happy."

Les îles sanguinaires. It's honestly so beautiful here!!!

Hello family and friends! First off, huge shout out to my sister
Olivia on back to back state titles!! She's only a sophomore and
already has 2 rings. Ah she's such a sicko and I love her so much :)
it's hard living in the shadow of a younger sister haha. Beyond
amazing week down here on the island! We worked hard and saw some
pretty amazing miracles this week! The island is so beautiful it's
crazy! Here's a recap of the week!

Monday: P day! Just kind of hung out and went and played basketball
right by the Mediterranean Sea. It was sweet. Then after we had 3
lessons between 6-9:30 and it was super cool!

Tuesday: Such an awesome day! So we really prayed the night before on
where we needed to go and all 3 of us felt really good about this
quarter full of houses on the outskirts of Ajaccio and so we cooked
lunch and dinner at the same time and just packed it all up and went
and ported in this huge neighborhood for the whole rest of the day and
it was soooo amazing! We ended up having 4 lessons with some amazing
people who we are hoping to see again this week! It was really so cool
to see the spirit guide us to that area and find people who we needed
to teach. We got home after about 9 hours of porting and all just laid
on the ground and talked about the amazing experiences we had. It was
honestly a pretty amazing day.

Wednesday: Wow such another wonderful day! So basically we did the
same thing as Tuesday. We had a rendez vous with Marie Rose and she is
so ready for her baptism coming up in a few weeks! So after her rendez
vous we went back to the same general area of the neighborhood from
the day before and had another absolutely amazing day. We ended up
having another 6 lessons on Wednesday as well! It was honestly such a
miracle. The people we taught we are all teaching next week and we
taught a few families as well. Haha honestly it was such a great day.

Thursday: So we woke up and worked out and then we immediately made
the most beautiful drive in the entire world to Bastia so we could
Skype the Nice Zone for Zone training. Corsica is apart of the Nice
zone but we just skype them because we are across the Mediterranean
haha. Anyways, we met up with the elders from Bastia and skyped for
the training from 10-12 and then we went and had a service project
straight after honestly straight in the jungle of Corsica haha and we
were just chopping trees and lighting everything on fire I couldn't
believe a fire didn't start. Haha Corsicans are crazy but I love them.
So then after that we did a little exchange between us and Bastia and
it was Elder Richmond and I plus Elder Schettler from Bastia. Hahaha
it was so funny the first thing he said to me when we got into the car
and headed back to Ajaccio was, "Elder Wade, I need to apologize for
some thing. 2 years ago when you guys played Olympus and it was at
Olympus...I was the one that stocked your Instagram and Twitter and
found out as much dirt as I could on you so we could chant it against
you during the game." Hahaha it was soooo funny. Elder Schettler is a
great missionary snd I love him. But basically we got back to Ajaccio
late and taught Marie rose, contacted, then had to check in for the
night. I promise Corsica is the most beautiful place on this world.
It's incredible. The 2 hour drive from Ajaccio to Bastia starts out on
the beach, then you drive through the the mountains/jungle and the
leaves are changing color and then the drive ends on the beach. Really
pretty.

Friday: Great day! So we got studies in and then met the Elders de
Bastia halfway between us in Corte and got back elder Johnson from the
exchange! After that we had one lesson with a man named Lorrain about
the plan of salvation. We ported into him on Tuesday and fixed a RDV
for Friday and it was a great lesson. After, we had a lesson with Marie
rose about Jesus Christ and it was so amazing! One of the most
spiritual lessons I've had! We all testified of Jesus Christ and then
watched "parce qu'il vit" and it was so powerful.

Saturday: Saturday we we had a great day! So we had a BBQ with Marie
Rose and it was super fun! After that we had a rendez vous with Sylvia
and Noel and it was soooo cool! They told us they are getting married
and then we fixed a baptismal date for them! November 14th!! Such a
cool experience!

Sunday: Church! Hahaha it's so great here. This week at church there
was 9 again with us 3, our 3 Amis with baptisms fixed and then 3
members! It was awesome. I gave a lesson on the temples and then gave
a talk during sacrament haha. Gosh I love church here. It's soooo
crazy to think back  home there is hundreds of people. It's so cool to
see these people here though. I love them a lot.

Thank you for all the support. I love you all!

Thought of the week:

And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the serviceof your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.

Exchange selfie with elder Schettler and elder Richmond

Our Amis!! Noel, Marie Rose and Sylvia :)

Frere Colonna!! He is so funny haha. He can barely see and rides
his moped to church. I promise he rides 100% off of faith. But he
couldn't come yesterday so we brought him sacrament!

Week 25 First week on the Island Corsica

Found donkey from Shrek as we were porting

Hello everyone! First off, happy Birthday to my mom!! Again I go back
to elder Hollands talk from conference about moms and that's how I
feel about mine!! She can still beat me in basketball games
too...she's got the whole package. Love her so much. Anyways, Great
first week here in Ajaccio! We saw some really cool things and had
some funny things as well haha. Overall, Corsica is so cool and the
people here are super funny. Here is the recap!

Monday: P day! Elder Anderson and I took a train to Marseille and from
there he went to Lyon and I stayed in Marseille and met my companions!
I am with Elder Johnson and Elder Richmond and they are such studs I
love them so much! Elder Johnson is from Las Vegas and Elder Richmond
is from Ohio! So then we drove to Toulon and took the overnight boat
to Ajaccio! It was like being on my first cruise haha.
Tuesday: so Tuesday we had a lesson with one of our amid named Marie
Rose and she is so awesome! We taught tithing and she loved it. Then
later that night we had a family home evening with one of the members
here in Corsica named Soeur Hermeroso and we had another ami Sylvia
come! Sylvia is married to a guy named Noel (a funny story with him in
Saturday) and we are trying so hard to get them to set a baptismal
date! They are so awesome though I love them.
Wednesday: so on Wednesday we had a lesson with someone who lived in a
village so we drove out to that (yes we have a car) and it was such a
weird rendez vous hahaha. I think he was really drunk or something.
Regardless, probably won't be seeing him again haha :) so then we had
a whole night free so we honestly destroyed this area in Ajaccio and
ported (knocked on doors) honestly like 4 apartments and finally,
after a whole night of no's the very last door opened and let us in
and we talked about the family and it went so great! We fixed a rendez
vous for Saturday so it was cool! (The rendez vous Saturday fell
through because the girls dad answered the door and told us he
wouldn't let us come in) but none the less it was so cool!
Thursday: What a day! So to start off we had a rendez vous with Marie
Rose and it went so great. We talked about tithing and fasting and she
accepted! We also solidified her on a baptismal date for the 14th of
November! So we are praying for her! After that we went porting for
about 2 hours and didn't really have any success so we drove in Ville
and contacted for a few more hours. Then we had a lesson with a recent
active named Alice and her daughter who is not a member. We are going
to try to really start teaching her. Missionary work is so much
different here on the island in Ajaccio compared to Nice haha.
Friday: we had a rendez vous with Marie Rose and we sang "Merci dieu
pour le prophète" and it sparked her haha. Then we talked about
following the prophet. After that we were supposed to have another
family home evening with a member but she wasn't there so we just
contacted for a few hours and we had another way cool miracle as the
very last person we contacted was interested and set a rendez vous for
Tuesday!
Saturday: Hahahaha I promise Saturday was the craziest day of my
mission. As I tell this story keep in mind we had 6 lessons planned
for the day haha. So, we wake up and go run to a basketball court and
do our morning work outs and I have the keys to our apartment and so I
set them on the court. We finish the work out and start running back
and then I realize I don't have the keys, so we just Head back to grab
them and they aren't there!! So, we panicked and had no idea what to
do. After 2 hours of walking around Ajaccio trying to find a lock
smith and everything, we didn't know what to do. At this point it's
like 9 am. So we can't get into our apartment or use the car and we
had left the phone in the apartment so we couldn't call anyone. We
were locked out completely haha. So, 12 pm rolls around and we were
supposed to have a RDV with Sylvia and Noel at our apartment (we can
have RDVs at our apartment because it's set apart as a chapel) and so
they showed up and we were just sitting on the curb like bums just
waiting for them haha. So, we went up to our apartment all together
and Noel reaches into his pocket and jokingly says that his keys will
work....and they don't. So we were about to head down and they were
going to drive us to a lock smith when Noel says "let me try my keys
again" and he pulls his keys out and tries to open it and we hear him
start to yell and so we look and his keys are budging our door until
eventually the freaking door opened hahahaha. We all doggy piled him
in our room and just laughed forever hahsha it was the craziest thing
ever!! And then shortly after that, someone came up to our apartment
and randomly and gave us back our keys to the car and the apartment.
This all happened in like 5 minutes. I'm a really bad story teller and
I get lazy to type it all but it was such a funny/crazy experience.
Anyways, so then we went and had 4 tombez vous (the people weren't
there) and finished with 2 lessons on the day. Haha crazy day.
Sunday: Church was an amazing experience! This week for church we
rented out a hotel room and had sacrament there! We had 9 people
including 3 missionaries, 3 members, and 3 Amis (Marie rose, Sylvia,
Noel) and it was so spiritual. One of the greatest sacraments ever. It
reminded me of 1 Ne 14:12-14 when it talks about the church being
small. Because it was haha. But anyways it was so amazing. After that
we ported a lot! Anyways, great day!

Thank you! I love you!
Love,
Elder Wade
Mosiah 2: 41

Elder Wade

Mosiah 2:41
"And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it."

Where we played basketball for P Day! So beautiful

Porting haha

week 24 I am getting transferred to...

Last picture with the Cresto family. I literally love them so much

and it hurt so bad to leave them haha

* Elder Wade took a boat over to the island.  It is about a 10 hour boat ride.

Hello family and friends! So, I have been transferred! I was
transferred to Ajaccio on the island of Corsica! So I'm going from
Nice to Corsica and I'm officially off the continent haha. Corsica is
the island south of France. It's closer to Italy than France as well
which is cool as well. Let me just start off by saying how much I have
loved Nice. I didn't think it was possible to love some of the people
here as much as I do. The ward here is amazing and I will always have
a soft spot for Nice in my heart because it is where I started my
mission and it's where I learned to speak French and learned the
gospel. It has been the most amazing last 4 1/2 months here and I want
everyone to know how amazing Nice is. I was heartbroken to leave so
many people that I love! Between the ward, our investigators, and the
city...I love Nice. But here's a quick recap of the week.

Tuesday: What a day! So we started off by playing soccer with some
members and their friends and it was super cool. After that, we went
and shared a thought and had lunch with a member! Then, we had a
lesson with Radolpho and it went so well!!! We asked him, "Radolpho,
is the Book of Mormon true, and is the plan of salvation his plan for
us?" And he looked us both in the eyes and said, "I prayed about
it...and it's true." AHH. It was so amazing. I can't even begin to
tell you how strong the spirit was. I love him so much! So anyways, he
is amazing and that was such a spiritual lesson. After the lesson, we
took a train to St. Raphael for an exchange with the elders there!
Wednesday: I went on an exchange with Elder Whitmer and we came back
to Nice! Not a lot...I'm keeping it short and worth reading. He is a
stud and I have a funny picture of him curling me with one arm that
I'll send haha he's massive.
Thursday: Coming back from St. Raphael there was a strike on the
trains so we didn't get back to nice until about 4! It was sad haha.
And then we contacted when we got home. For dinner, the apartment went
with a member named Donna and she took us to this amazing house and
cooked us one of the greatest meals ever. She's a professional cook
for real. It was good.
Friday: Crazy day! We waited for transfer calls and they finally came!
President Brown called and said, "Elder Wade, you are in for a huge
shock...you are being transferred to Ajaccio on Corsica!" And I was
absolutely shocked haha. I definitely did not see it coming! But then
we had some contacting and then we ate with Bishop Meunier and his
family later that night at a burger restaurant! That family is
awesome.
Saturday: So I told you all about the rainstorm that was insane last
week? We spent all of Saturday cleaning up the aftermath in Cannes. It
was unreal all the damage. We walked into homes that had water 4 feet
up on the walls! It was so sad. So we did that and then we ate at the
Tepuhuarii family! They made us sushi and it was so good!
Sunday: My heart absolutely broke on Sunday! I have more than adored
this Ward and the members here in Nice. Saying goodbye to so many
people that I love was one of the hardest things I've done! But we
went to church, and then after we went to the Cusick family for lunch.
I love them they are so awesome and it will be good to keep in contact
with them. They are great missionaries without the plaques as well!
Then Sunday night I went over and spent my last little bit with Cresto
family. Wow, I love them so much. I can say I absolutely fell in love
with Frere and Soeur Cresto and their 2 sons. To put it into simple
words, I cried a lot when I said goodbye to them haha. We figured out
that over the last 4 months I've been to their house 16 times. I want
to thank them for everything they have done. I will always consider
them as a part of my family. It might have been the hardest goodbye
I've said to someone before! If any of you have read my emails you
know how much I love and talk about them. Also I am their son Thomas'
godfather so that's a huge bonus ;) but really, I love them with
absolutely all of my heart. Anyways, they were amazing and I will love
them forever. After the Cresto's we went home and I packed a little
more and then went to bed.

I love you all so much! Thanks for the prayers and support. I
appreciate them a lot.
Love,
Elder Wade 🇫🇷

The Tepuhuarii family! Love these 2.

My new comps who I met today!!
Elder Richmond and Elder Johnson!
I love them so much and we are going to have an absolute blast on Corsica :)

Week 23 The flood in France

The crazy rainstorm pic with the elders of Nice.

Hello everyone! What a week and what an amazing way to start it off. Honestly conference was amazing and I learned so so so much. I really was able to feel the spirit testify it's all true. So, I want to share one of my favorite quotes (I had many) from conference by Elder Holland..."No love in mortality comes closer to approximating the pure love of Jesus Christ than the selfless love a devoted mother has for her child..." I want to publicly tell everyone how much I love my mommy and more than appreciate her for everything she has done for me. Between going to the gym with me and rebounding for me for hours, to giving me a few extra dollars on the weekends, to watching my mom download a fart app and then playing jokes on people (lol), to being my late night movie buddy, and to much, much more. I love her and testify that is true. Conference was amazing everyone. I learned so much.
Here's a recap of the week :)
Monday: P day! So Elder Anderson and Elder Burton went to Eze and Elder Andrew and I stayed in Nice and just hung out. I love Elder Andrew he's such a stud. He goes home in one week and I've spent the last 4 months with him so it will be sad. So after P Day, we had FHE at the Cresto family and they invited a friend for us to teach and she is sooo awesome. Her name is Sonia and she is honestly golden! We talked about God and how he's there for us and loves us and she really liked the idea and asked some great questions and really loved it.
Tuesday: Such a cool day. So we were contacting and we had someone call us and ask "Is Elder Wade there? He gave me a book a month ago and I can't quite understand it but I feel like I want to...can I meet with you guys?" And apparently I contacted into him and gave him a Book of Mormon and after all this time he had been reading it and wanted to know more! So cool. So, we met at the church and went over the Book of Mormon and the restoration and we asked him to be baptized if he comes to know its true and he said yes! His name is Radolpho from the Philippines. So that was a super cool miracle. Other than that, we contacted and that was it!
Wednesday: Such an amazing day for real! So I went on an exchange with Elder Barbin from Northridge High School. He is such a stud and I love him and We came to Nice for the exchange. So we had a straight up miracle that just testified to me that this is the Lord's work. So, about 2 weeks ago Elder Anderson and I contacted into someone and had an amazing discussion with him about the plan of salvation on the street and he absolutely loved it and wanted to learn more. Somehow we lost the card and weren't able to call him and so we said a big prayer on Tuesday (the day before today) so that we could find him. So Elder Barbin and I are walking and contacting and I happen to look into a grocery store and he was in there just checking his groceries out!!! I literally ran into there and gave him a big hug and he was sooo happy and we got his number again and we scheduled a rendez vous for Thursday! Everyone thought I was so weird for just running in and hugging him but I was just so grateful that our prayer was answered!! It was honestly a miracle.
Thursday: Great day. So Thursday we went and had District Meeting in the morning which was super good. Then after that we had a lesson with Radolpho and it went so cool. We taught the Book of Mormon the "Donaldson Paper" style and it was super amazing. We committed him to baptism for the 28th of November and I am super excited for him to be baptized. He is super ready and it's crazy how much he loves it. He came to the RDV talking all about Nephi and Sam and all these guys and Elder Anderson and I were blown away with how much he knew and how much he had read! We also went and contacted right by the beach which after that which was cool (Don't worry it was raining no one was there haha). Our apartment is about a 30 second jog from the beach as well.
Friday: Never in my life have I seen so much rain. I'm not even kidding!! 14 people in Nice died because of flooding and all sorts of crazy ways. When I woke up I started laughing because like every 3 seconds there was thunder and lightening and I thought it would stop by the time our studies ended....lol nope. I'm not kidding it rained all day. And it rained that hard every second of the day haha. Needless to say my umbrella got a good use. And the worst part of the day was we had no RDV scheduled so we just went and contacted haha. And yes, You guessed it...nobody stopped to listen. Haha I hope you don't think I'm exaggerating I would send a video but it's too long. It absolutely poured for about 36 hours straight. It was crazy. So that sums up Friday haha.
Saturday: Okay Saturday was awesome. So we played basketball at Vauban in the morning, and then after that we went home and got all showered up because we had a RDV at Nicetoile which is this huge mall in Nice with our Amis from Hungary. It was a cool RDV because we were just sitting in the mall in this coffee shop place and we gave them their Book of Mormons in Hungarian and they loved it so much. It was a really cool experience. So then after that, we went to the church and watched the Saturday morning session (8 hour time difference) and it was so amazing. Then after that we went home and went to bed and it was so loud all night from all the thunder and rain again haha it has rained so much.
Sunday:  To sum up Sunday we went to the church and watched the Priesthood session, Saturday afternoon, and then Sunday afternoon session! Radolpho came for the Saturday night session and then we had a lesson right after it. He is so awesome. But this conference was so amazing wow. I was so touched by so many of the speakers and I really felt the spirit testifying that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet as he was battling through the last bit of his testimony. What an amazing man.

Thank you so much for all of the support and all of the prayers. I want you all to know how much I love and appreciate you! This is the Lords work and I know It! Have a great week :)

Love,

Elder Wade

Elder Anderson and I at Place Massena. I love Nice so much.

Exchange photo with Elder Barbin!! Love him.

The Nice missionaries watching conference on an iPad.

Another pic of place Massena. Spent hours and hours and hours

contacting here over the last 4 months haha.

Elder Duffy from Davis High! Great missionary. It was great to see him.

Week 22 World renown MONACO YACHT SHOW

Elder Anderson and I at the Yacht show!

Hello family and friends! Another week gone haha it's crazy how fast
it goes. So first off, General Conference this weekend! I am so
excited to hear the Prophet of our church speak to us. I promise you
he is called of God. I'm very grateful for the revelation he receives
and gives to us every 6 months! I would really love to get some
feedback as well from you guys! If you loved a certain talk during
general conference and wouldn't mind emailing me which talk and why
you loved it I would love that! And Gonzaga fans, watch a little bit
of conference and tell me what you think and if you have any
questions...email me :) anyways, now for the week summary!

Monday: P day! Always a good time. We just strolled around Nice and
did basically nothing. We were really tired from the week before so
elder Anderson and I mainly just relaxed haha. Then, we went over to
the Cresto's house and had a family home evening as well as celebrated
Frere Cresto's 33rd birthday! Gosh I love them so much and I say it
every email. But a really cool day overall and we had an awesome
conversation at 8:58 that let us stay out a little longer past 9 which
was cool and we fixed a rendez vous from it :)
Tuesday: Tuesday was really awesome. So we had a few coordonnées
(referrals) who lived in Monaco and so we took the day and went to
Monaco and passed 4 referrals and not one person was home :( so we
will have to go again dang ;) honestly Monaco is the coolest country
ever. Everyone go google a picture of Monaco it's so cool and I SERVE
THERE :) sometimes I can't believe I'm serving my mission in southern
France. So we got back at about 6 and a member invited us to go play
basketball at Vauban with some of his friends...of course I didn't
deny it 😊 so we went to Vauban and played there the rest of the night
and at the end of the night we had found 2 people who wanted to learn
more about our church. Looks like we will be playing basketball a
little more ;) Elder Anderson and I have got the most efficient
missionary work when it comes to basketball haha...I play and talk on
the court while he talks to everyone watching haha.
Wednesday: Haha an awesome day. So we went on an exchange within our
apartment and neither of our equipes had rendez vous so we literally
when the whole entire day contacting haha it was so awesome. I love
contacting. I went with Elder Burton and he is such a stud. I have
spent the last 3 transfers in the same apartment as him so it was
super fun.
Thursday: So not a lot of things happened today. We had to leave for
zone conference at 1:00 and we showed up to Marseille with our other 2
zones. But, the coolest thing happened. So "The Gare" is like the big
train stations here and in each train station there is a piano. And
since there was about 25 or so missionaries all just in the Marseille
Gare passing time, we got on the piano and sung hymns for every one
there and at the end of it there was probably 100 or so people around
us recording and stuff. Actually pretty cool. So then we spent the
rest of the night contacting in Marseille and then slept in the
Marseille Elder's apartment.
Friday: Zone conference was so amazing. Elder Adler from the 3rd
quorum of the 70 came. We talked a lot about the spirit and how we
need it in our missionary work and the role it plays. He also left us
a cool challenge that if we bore our testimony that night on the
savior and recorded it, and then practiced our testimony every night,
and then 30 days later we recorded ourselves, that we will see an
increase in our language and our spirituality on our testimonies of
the Savior. I also saw SO many people who I love with all my heart
some of them including Elder Barnes, Elder Connell, Elder Boynton and
many more. Honestly being a missionary is the best ever.
Saturday: Haha Saturday was a pretty crazy, not normal missionary day.
So to start off, we went and played basketball at Vauban as part of
our "samedi sportif" and had a really cool moment with all of the guys
there just talking about the gospel and relating it to basketball and
stuff. Hopefully we can start teaching a few of them soon. So then,
this is the crazier part haha...we sat down to do weekly planning and
we got a call from the Concha Family who lives in Monaco, and they
needed some crutches that we took from them a few months ago (long
story) because his wife needed them and he told us he could meet us at
the train station in Nice. So we show up and we give him the crutches
and we ask if his wife needs a blessing or anything, and he said yes.
So we ended up just buying some tickets to Monaco right then. As we
are on the train, Frere Concha was like, "Hey elders...I have 3
tickets to the world renown MONACO YACHT SHOW and wanted to know if
maybe you wanted to go for an hour before we give my wife a blessing."
Haha so we called the ZLs and got permission to go! (Don't worry we
took P Day time to go so today we have already contacted for 2 hours
and took P day time 😉) but anyways..it was soooo cool haha I can't
even tell you how crazy some of the yachts were. Really cool. But then
the coolest part of the night was going and giving Soeur Concha a
blessing and sharing a spiritual thought with their family.
Sunday: Church! Always great. But we went and ate at Soeur Aslan's
house and she is so amazing. She prepared an awesome meal for us.
After that, we contacted a lot a lot a lot and went home and fell onto
the couch because it was a long week hah. To be honest, this was a
tough week missionary work wise. We didn't teach one lesson the whole
entire week and it was really tough because we worked sooo hard. We
had 4 investigators whom we love dearly drop us as well. A really
tough week. But, I can promise you all that I've never been happier.
Every day it gets better and better.

Well that's my week. My spiritual thought is found in 3 Ne 5:13. Read
it. It's good :)
Anyways, thank you so much for your prayers. We have been working
really hard and we are excited to see what this week has for us. I
love you guys!
Love,
Elder Wade 🇫🇷

3 Nephi 5:13
Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.

"Like Mike" haha when I saw shoes hanging I had to take a pic. S/O
to all the people that recognize this.

Elder Barnes and I :) love him so much.

Elder Burton and I on the exchange in front of the Russian Cathedral.

Our ami Ali! 4 months ago I taught my first ever lesson to this

man! We were in church and we got a text saying "Is Matt Damon still
serving here? I mean Elder Wade. I want to take a picture with him."
Haha so he came and we took a picture. I'll always remember this guy.

week 21 "the ankle crackers"

Elder Anderson took this photo of a few of the kids I signed

autographs for haha

Family and friends! Another great week here in beautiful Nice. I
already feel so blessed to be able to spend 3 transfers here already!
We worked super super hard and saw some awesome things happen! Thank
you for your prayers I can definitely see them working and helping me
and Elder Anderson out. So here's the week:

Monday: P day! So we kind of just went around Nice and hung out and I
bought a basketball finally! So every night I just lay down and shoot
it haha it feels so good. But later that night we went to the Cresto's
house (I love love love them) and just shared a spiritual thought with
them. I love being at their house they are amazing. So then went
contacting and had great success and fixed a few rendez vous! Overall
solid day.
Tuesday: Okay another great day! So a few weeks ago we met some
Jehovah's Witness and talked to them and Tuesday night we went over to
their house and shared what we believe and stuff. It was awesome. We
even got another RDV fixed for this Friday night with them! But it was
so awesome to testify of the priesthood and eternal families with
them. They are an awesome couple who have been married for 4 years!
Wednesday: Happy Birthday to my absolutely beautiful sister Ellie 😍
Can't believe you're old enough to go to the temple now :) So, we met
this couple from Hungary last week and we gave them our number... And
they actually called us! So we had a lesson with them at our church
and it went so amazing! We gave them a church tour and then sat them
down and talked about what we believe and basically the retab lesson!
It went honestly so good and the spirit was so strong! About an hour
after the Rendez vous they called us and said "Hey if we wanted to
come to church on Sunday what do we need to wear?" Ah it was so cool.
Honestly they are so awesome. And they speak French very well but
Hungarian is their native tongue, so we ordered Hungarian Books of
Mormon and when they arrive we are going to write their names on it
and put our testimonies in. We are excited!
Thursday: Okay so Thursday we started off and had District Meeting and
It was awesome. We talked about fully consecrating ourselves as
missionaries. I will talk more about that at the bottom :) so Thursday
looked super promising during planning the night before as we had 4
lessons planned to teach! We ended up having all 4 fall through haha
it was sad, but we found some amazing people out while we were
contacting around where these people live. But I have the funniest
story (not really...it's funny for missionaries in France mainly haha)
So, the church made "The Restoration" video in French and there is one
part famous to every missionary speaking French and it's at the
beginning when Joseph's father asks for his glasses and his daughter
Catherine gives them to him and he goes "Merci Catherine" and it's
just hilarious the way it sounds and stuff. I know it doesn't seem
funny but it really is haha. Sooo, there is a joke around the mission
(and mainly in our apartment every time someone does something nice we
say "Merci Catherine") that if you meet someone named Catherine you
win. Haha so, we are contacting and we end up scheduling a RDV with
this woman and she tells us her name and it was Catherine haha and
literally at the same time elder Anderson and I said "Merci
Catherine!!" So loud haha. I know it doesn't seem funny but I'm a
weird missionary, and on top of everything.. it is funny ;) but we
scheduled 3 more rendez vous that day. Such a good day.
Friday: We are really starting to see miracles here and the work is
picking up like crazy! So a few weeks ago I was on the tram and there
was this college girl who tapped me on the shoulder and started
talking to me and so we exchanged numbers! So we have tried to get
ahold of her the last few weeks but we couldn't, and then out of the
blue she calls us and wants to see us! So Friday we took her on a tour
of the church and then sat down and had one of the most powerful,
spiritual lessons ever. The spirit was so strong and she had some
tears in her eyes. Gosh, it was so amazing. So then she also told us
she wants to come to church! It was just a really awesome day.  We
also set up 2 more RDV! One for tomorrow and then next week. This week
has been the most miracle filled week of my mission by far!
Saturday: Like usual we woke up and played basketball at Vauban! Haha
funny story... there were some kids about the age 12 who were watching
our games when we were playing pick up, and after one of the games all
these kids came up and like swarmed me and asked me if I could show
them some moves and "the ankle crackers" as they called them haha. It
was really really cool and they were awesome and ended up signing a
few autographs and I actually got a picture with one of the kids after
and I'll send it! Haha it was really funny So then after we had a
Tombez vous from the Rendez vous we fixed on Friday so we ended up
contacting the whole night and had some cool conversations and a few
street lessons! Honestly missionary life is the best.
Sunday: Sunday was great! To start off I gave a talk in sacrament
meeting on The Sacrament and I felt good about it! Something I learned
in preparing for my talk was really cool...in 3 Ne 18:6-7 and it talks
about how each time we take the sacrament it's actually a way we can
show our testimony to Heavenly Father! By partaking of the sacrament
we promise to try our best and more fully use the atonement in the
week to come. I love taking the sacrament each week it's such an
amazing thing that we can be clean each week. So then after sacrament
we had some contacting to do and then we went to the Cusick family's
home! They are from Utah and are so awesome! We will be working a lot
with them.

Unfortunately, our Amis who had a baptismal date fixed for Oct. 10
texted us this morning and said they didn't want to be baptized or
anything. So that was extremely painful and hard and I've spent the
last 4 months with them but I have faith one day they will! But on the
other hand a cool miracle happened...our goal at the beginning of the
week was to have 100 conversations about the gospel with people on the
street, bus, tram etc. and at the end of Sunday night we tallied our
numbers together and had exactly 100 from the week! It was a goal we
set at the beginning of the week to really push us to work as hard as
we could this week and it definitely worked. This was really a miracle
week and I am grateful for the prayers.

I know Jesus is the Christ and that his atonement isn't only for sins
and forgiveness. It's for helping us become a better person. As we
rely on the atonement and fully apply Ether 12:27, we will see our
weaknesses become strong. That's my promise to all of you! I love you
guys and thank you for all you do for me!
Love,
Elder Wade 🇫🇷

Weekly Cresto family pic featuring Frere Cresto himself!

So we gave a homeless man a yogurt and he gave us a cool necklace

in return and he didn't want to be in the photo so we got one by his
stand haha

Cool picture at night of our church. The Nice chapel is one of the
most beautiful on the earth.

Week 20 Stake conference Testimony Time

Cool pic that Frere concha took from our RDV with his friends!

Family and friends! We had another great week here in Nice. I fall
more in love with this Ville and the people every day! I'll just go
ahead and get started!

Monday: Okay so honestly we had the COOLEST miracles right in a row. I
know that God loves his missionaries! So, we had a rendez vous in
Monaco with the Concha family. Monaco is a little country right next
to France and it is actually in our sector, so we can go to it. But,
since it's far away, we have to take a train. Okay so we go to the
Concha's home and have an awesome lesson with their non member friends
about the temple and they were really interested. So after we shared
the spiritual thought with them, we looked at our watches and they
said 8:34 and our train left at 8:41! And the only problem was, we
were a solid 1 1/2 mile away from the train station. So we literally
just run out the door and they give us food to take home and eat
hahsha so we are just running to the station and we knew we were going
to be late, but as we were running we said a prayer for a miracle and
we showed up at the station at 8:47 and the train happened to be late
7 minutes and so we got on the train and barely made it! SO then the
second miracle happened....we get to Nice at 9:10 and we had to be
home by 9:30 (its the rule) so as soon as we get off the train we just
start sprinting to the bus stop and we miss the LAST bus of the night
by 2 minutes. So we were about 2 1/2 miles away from our house and had
20 minutes to get home and I turned to elder Anderson and said "We do
hard things for the Lord." And we tightened our backpacks and just
started sprinting home haha. So it's about 9:26 and we are still
running as fast as we can but we realize that we aren't going to get
home on time. BUT, as soon as we said that we both said a prayer and
we prayed for a miracle because we wanted to be 100% obedient to the
rules...and then I kid you not, as soon as we said "Amen" some random
car pulled up and said "Get in, I've seen you guys before and know
where you live." And I almost died. When that happened I honestly
couldn't believe it. So we got in the car, he drove fast, and we got
home at exactly 9:30. I  know for a fact that this is the Lords work.
Ahhhh it was so cool.
Tuesday: So on Tuesday we played soccer in the morning with some
people from the Ward and a few of their friends. Haha I'm so bad at
soccer compared to some of these 10 year olds here. Par contre, we had
a good day contacting. We also officially moved as well! The moving
equipe came and helped us move out during the night. It was sad to
change apartments because that apartment is where I started off my
mission so I was a little sad. But it's okay, because our new
apartment is so much bigger and nicer. But really just a solid day out
contacting haha and we had some weird conversations that will
definitely not be making an appearance in the email haha.
Wednesday: haha I can't lie one of the longest days of my life we had
no rendez vous scheduled so we contacted all day and no one listened
to us :) for some reason at the end of the day when it was over I felt
so accomplished it was weird.
Thursday: Thursday we had zone training! We talked about the blessings
from being obedient. It was a great training and it's so much easier
to be obedient than it is to be disobedient so I loved it! After that
we contacted a lot and passed a less active member named Allain. Not a
lot happened again! We have a lot of conversations but the hardest
part is getting them to want to say yes. Sometimes it's frustrating
because you know they feel the spirit but there's nothing you can do
about it! One day for them though :)
Friday: Friday was a great day! So we started off by our studies like
normal and I had another awesome experience with comp roll plays! So
for this roll play game, one of us asks a question and then hits the
start button and then we have 1 minute to answer it! And so, he asked
me why we need the Book of Mormon when we have the Bible...so I did
the roll play, we talked about it, then I did it again! So, later in
the day we were talking to someone and the man literally said word for
word, "Why do I need the Book of Mormon when I have the Bible?" And
Elder Anderson and I just looked at each other, smiled, and then
answered his question and it went SOO WELL. We just ping pong'd off
each other and at the end he was very interested and we scheduled a
rendez vous for this week! It was so awesome. Then, at the end of the
day after we wrote in our journal and had about 30 minutes until bed,
Elder Anderson and I had one of the most amazing talks about Jesus
Christ. I'll talk about it on the bottom of my email.
Saturday:  So we had our Saturday Sports and played basketball again
at the church! Always one of the best times is playing basketball ;)
also, we are going to try contacting by playing basketball this week
so that will be fun haha. But then we got home, went out and contacted
for a few hours and had some really cool conversations. So, we had a
train at 6 to head to Toulon for Ward conference but we missed our
train and the next train didn't come until 8 so we just contacted and
had an awesome conversation with someone. We started talking about
families and he starts crying and tells us how his wife had passed
away and we testified that he will see her again. Also I had the
coolest experience with him...so he was an older person and at the end
of the conversation I said "Monsieur I know that maybe you aren't
ready to hear this message, but will you promise us something? After
this life, will you come find me and my companion and let us teach you
and your wife?" And he said yes. So I full on plan on teaching him
after this life :) but then we caught our train to Toulon at 8:00 and
stayed the night there for Ward conference!
Sunday: Sunday might have been one of the coolest, if not THE coolest
day on my mission! So we woke up in Toulon and the church had rented
out this HUGE auditorium because it was Stake Conference and the stake
here is basically the whole Azur Coast! And so this auditorium was
packed and right before it started President Brown (our awesome
mission president) came up to me and said that he feels like he should
ask me to give my testimony to all the members who were there, and so
right before President Brown gave his talk they called me down and I
gave my testimony to everyone who was there! It was a really awesome
experience. Elder Boynton (yes I saw him 😊) even took a pic and sent
it to me so I'll send it home! But it was really cool! So then the
other awesome thing that happened was in the MTC we had a few Skype
lessons and all of my lessons were with this member named Vincent
Perez! And at the MTC we both told each other that we hope we can see
each other at some point in the mission...and guess what? He was there
:) and when we crossed each other we both recognized each other and
gave each other the biggest hug! Ah it was so cool and such a cool
experience! But yes, Sunday was just such a cool, spiritual, fun
experience.

As you can see, just another great week in Nice. My spiritual thought
is about my conversation about Jesus Christ with elder Anderson. I can
say I have learned one thing more than anything on my mission, and
that is that Jesus is the Christ. I would encourage you all this week
to study the life of the Savior and find something you can work on. So
my scripture for the week is definitely Mosiah 16: 6-9. Jesus is the
Christ. I know it. I love you all and thank you for the prayers.
Love,
Elder Wade

When I was up at the pulpit giving my testimony!
It was such a cool experience.

Another pic from elder Boynton at the pulpit

Reunited with Elder Boynton :):) I absolutely LOVE him
